Why grow native plants?

The Southern Appalachians are one of the most bio-diverse regions in North America, hosting nearly half of all tree, fern, and flowering plant species found on the continent.  It is these plants that blanket the mountains, that we call home, here in Western North Carolina.

The large variety of native plants available, creates a palette for us to choose from when thinking about adding a new plant to our space.  Our native plants do not only offer us beauty, but they give us a chance to repair the land around our homes, gardens, and streams. Recreating natural ecosystems in areas that have been previously damaged.

So whether you want to feed yourself (or some bears) with blueberries, or surround yourself with fragrance, native plants always standout.

Locally grown in Western North Carolina for over 30 years.
